Donald Trump will not be able to do business in New York State for three years.

The former US president, presidential candidate, has been banned from doing business in New York and from having top roles in any company in the area. For three years he will not even be able to ask for loans.

This was decided by judge Arthur Engoron, who also sentenced the tycoon to pay 354 million dollars in the civil trial in New York.

Trump is accused of having inflated the assets of the family holding company to obtain more advantageous conditions from banks and insurance companies.

The sentence also affects his sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, sentenced to pay a fine of 4 million dollars and banned from doing business in New York for two years.

“A clear injustice, we will appeal,” Trump's lawyer announces.
