" I'm going to the front and I'm ready for any reprisal. I'm an honest and decent person," Andriy Yermak, presidential adviser and close ally of Volodymyr Zelensky , told the New York Post after his resignation . The decision came after his apartment was searched as part of the investigation into a €100 million corruption scandal.
"My dignity has not been protected, even though I have been in Kiev since February 24, 2022," he said. "Therefore, I don't want to cause problems for Zelensky; I'm going to the front."
Yermak said he was “disgusted” by the accusations leveled against him, and “even more disgusted by the lack of support from those who know the truth.”
According to Axios, Yermak was scheduled to travel to Miami today for talks with President Trump's team on the peace plan. Yermak, along with several of Zelensky's advisers, was scheduled to hold negotiations with US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The goal, according to Axios, was to finalize the agreement between the United States and Ukraine before Witkoff and Kushner travel to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Yesterday, investigators searched the presidential adviser's office and his home as part of a broader investigation into the nuclear energy bribery scandal, allegedly managed by an aide to the Ukrainian president who fled the country.
