In Austria, infections are on the rise, and if the new wave were to fill the hospitals there will be a new lockdown. Which this time will concern the unvaccinated only.

Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg announced this, with the incidence of weekly positives per 100 thousand inhabitants increasing worryingly: it has exceeded 200 and next week it should reach 250, according to forecasts.

"There is an unvaccinated pandemic, all hospital beds are occupied by unvaccinated people. They need to know that they are not only responsible for their own health, but also that of others and it is not permissible for the health system to be overloaded for guilt of undecided and waiting ", the words of the chancellor.

Currently 224 places are occupied in intensive care. Reached 500, provides the new government provision, the unvaccinated will no longer be able to access bars, restaurants, sports and leisure facilities, cultural events. With 600 places occupied in intensive care, however, they will no longer be able to leave, except to go to work and for basic necessities.

From November 1st, the "3 G" rules - geimpft (vaccinated), genesen (healed for six months) or getestet (tested) - in the workplace, a sort of Green pass, are activated. But with free tests.
