An intervention plan to stop Vladimir Putin, organized in six points. That's what Boris Johnson described in the New York Times. For the British premier it is a sort of "call to action" for the international community to react to the "barbaric and horrible" aggression of Russia in Ukraine, because "it will not be the historians but the Ukrainian people who will judge us".

To maintain pressure on Moscow, Johnson argues that world leaders must mobilize "an international humanitarian coalition" for Ukraine. And to support Kiev "in its defense efforts". Furthermore, the economic pressure on Russia must be increased. So the international community must resist the "creeping normalization" of its actions in Ukraine.

Another point is the diplomatic solution to the war which, writes the British premier, must be pursued but only with the full participation of the legitimate Ukrainian government. Finally, the Downing Street tenant argues that a "campaign to strengthen security and resilience" among NATO countries must be launched quickly.
