Joe Biden is ready to announce his re-nomination for the presidency of the United States. From what transpires he will do it next Tuesday, in a video posted on his social channels.

Biden and his aides chose to make the announcement on the fourth anniversary of the launch of his 2020 presidential campaign.

The presidential vote is scheduled for November 5, 2024, with Washington's new leader due to be sworn in in early 2025.

The primaries will be staged first, with the Democrats who should bet, barring surprises, on the outgoing president, who is approaching 81 years of age.

In the Republican house, however, Donald Trump has also formalized his candidacy, despite the judicial troubles, as well as his former deputy in the White House Mike Pence.
