A huge environmental disaster is taking place in Thailand, in front of the tourist beaches of the Rayon province.
In fact, due to a leak from an underwater pipeline, about 50 thousand liters of oil spilled into the ocean about 12 miles from the coast.
Thai authorities have started a cleanup operation to clean up the area, worried about the impact on coral reefs and tourist beaches in the area.
According to the Guardian, the leak occurred in an oil pipeline owned by Star Petroleum Refining.
There are 150 workers from Star Petroleum Refining and 200 men and women from the Thai Navy at work on the remediation.
