Truth after 48 years. It is the one obtained by the sisters and mother of Sharron Prior, who was raped and killed at the age of 16 in a suburb of Montreal, Canada, in 1975.

For almost a century, the young girl's tormentor remained unnamed, despite the fact that the police have put a hundred suspects under investigation over time.

After repeated nothing done, the Canadian authorities have now managed to identify the culprit, thanks to DNA.

This is Franklin Maywood Romine, a criminal who died 7 years after the crime, in 1982, under mysterious circumstances.

Investigators exhumed his body, to make comparisons with some biological traces found at the crime scene. And the results gave – says the Canadian police – «100% certainty» that Romine is the man who raped and then barbarously killed the young woman.

As mentioned, Romine died in 1982, but - underline the media - Yvonne Prior, the teenager's mother, who is now 80 years old, if she can't get justice, can finally know how it went, after spending her life in look for his daughter's killer.
