The Arbitration Board set up at the Arbitration Chamber of Milan, after having ascertained the existence and collectability of the credit claimed by Tirrenia in extraordinary administration, sentenced Cin to pay 160 million euros, plus interest, leaving the determination to the final award of the residual sums claimed by the procedure.

The arbitration was promoted in 2020 by the extraordinary commissioners Gerardo Longobardi and Stefano Ambrosini together with his colleague Beniamino Caravita, who died recently.

Two weeks ago the Milan court accepted the request of the Tirrenia commissioners, granting a preventive seizure of 20 million euros against the holding company Onorato Armatori, which controls Moby and Cin, both in arrangement with creditors .

The judges' decision had supported the thesis of the former state company lawyers, according to which the responsibility for the non-settlement of the debt by Cin would be linked to a choice of the parent company Onorato Armatori.
