Sean Penn, the Oscar winner who has been involved for years in the world of solidarity and particularly close to the cause of Ukraine for a documentary that was shooting in the country just before the Russian invasion, returns to use his very popular channels in favor of Kiev.

Through tweets, the actor asked the "scroungers" to buy jets - loudly requested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and always denied so far by the United States - to defend Ukraine.

"A single billionaire could put an end to this war in Ukraine", tweets the Hollywood star, admitting that it would not be easy to arm and train but that "it seems to be worth it". And it goes even further, making some budget calculations to start the operation.

"According to sources open to all, two squadrons of F-15 or F-16 (these are 12 aircraft with better technology than Russian Mig or Sukhoi) that Ukrainian pilots could learn to drive with easy training (3 weeks) it would cost private sector buyers about $ 300 million, "he writes. To these, again according to the actor and director, just add 200 million for a missile defense device, for a total investment of 500 million dollars.

It is not the first time that the director has mobilized for Kiev. In recent days he had launched an appeal to boycott the night of the Oscars in the event that the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was not allowed to intervene, also threatening to "dissolve in public" the gold-plated bronze statuettes won as best actor for “Mystic River” in 2003 and “Milk” in 2008. The president did not intervene that evening and the Oscars homage to Ukraine was reduced to the canonical minute of silence.
