A little over a hundred days have passed since Massimo Zedda's third election as mayor of Cagliari. And the mayor, in the City Council chamber, gave his assessments on how he sees the capital for the next five years: " A city that wants to look to the future must actively involve its citizens in the construction of a more inclusive and sustainable urban environment ," he said. "Attractive, green and clean, which supports commercial activities."

Among the topics discussed was that of the former Buoncammino prison : Zedda reported to the civic assembly that he will ask for the opening of a table with the Region. «Through urban regeneration policies», he points out, «promotion of democratic participation and intercultural understanding, improvement of services, infrastructure and quality of life. We want to build a more cohesive, integrated and inclusive community».

Among the new features planned are the opening of the City Offices, former district offices, an extraordinary plan for housing and the right to housing and the launch of the Municipal Youth Council. As for sports, the mayor reiterated two of the themes of particular interest such as "the identification of sources of financing for the Palazzo dello Sport" and "the construction of the new stadium in Sant'Elia, with a focus on the enhancement of the surrounding area" .

But the Cagliari illustrated by Zedda in his government program is also a tourist city. Objectives: growth of the cultural offering, increase of municipal and private initiatives . Culture, heritage, art and events as attractors of international tourism. Green line in the city also with plans to decongest traffic in the center and promotion of alternative mobility and cycle paths. How? By encouraging the use of public transport, bicycles and walking to reduce private vehicle traffic.
