Death threats, insults, “calls” for closure.

A wave of hatred has hit Touch on the Beach in Alghero following the incident in which a customer punched it in the early hours of August 14 .

"Most of them," says Federico Salis, owner of the nightclub, "are messages addressed to me." These are posts in which he is blamed for what happened and, even, to "cover up" for the black boy who was the protagonist of the attack.

"Absolutely not. Why should I cover up for someone who is ruining me? He made a mistake and it is right that he pays. We are at the complete disposal of the injured party and the police."

Many believe that the young man who punched a 23-year-old from Alghero in the face, causing an orbital fracture, is part of the security team. "False. He is a friend or relative of someone who works in the club. I had never seen him before."

But he had an earpiece and a radio like a security guard. "The friend who had to go to the bathroom gave them to him momentarily. I know you won't believe me but that's how it went."

The fight apparently started at a private table over an argument about a girl. Then, as documented by the images of a video shot by a customer, the attempts to separate the contenders until they pushed the black boy who reacted by hitting someone who had nothing to do with it. "He did something despicable. And I want to clarify that my collaborator, who can be seen in the video holding the victim, actually wanted to defend him and the other person who had pushed him."

A few minutes in which, according to Salis, things went wrong, despite the timely intervention of security. "We tried to divide and separate, as you do in these cases. Then the boy had that reaction..."

Federico points out that the attacked man was rescued, contrary to what was claimed. "I did it. He told me he was used to taking hits playing basketball and that he didn't want to worry his mother."

Now the fear is that the structure, 500 square meters for 1000 customers and where there are 44 people on the payroll, could be closed. "It would be a huge damage, to image and financial resources. Moreover, none of us is responsible for what happened".
