"Love is stronger than death and the many people who came today to greet Antonio show that he was loved". It was Bishop Mauro Morfino who officiated the funeral of Antonio Urgias, a worker who committed suicide after having shot two of his superiors in the legs, at the Ungias Galantè eco-centre, in Alghero , on Friday 30 December.

In the church of San Giuseppe there were many people: in addition to the victim's family and his sixteen-year-old daughter, destroyed by pain, also work colleagues and friends from the boxing gym. "We mourn Antonio knowing however that it is not desperation", continued the bishop, "because the love of God surrounds him and he is now satisfied with the desire for justice, freedom and love".

Urgias died at the age of 43 last Friday, when he pointed the gun at his temple, sitting at the desk of the "bosses". Before making this extreme gesture, director Ivan Cherchi, 43, and his deputy Sergio Florulli, 57, had shot and wounded in the legs. The two are still hospitalized in the Marino hospital in Alghero, after having undergone surgery to remove the bullets.

Post mortem, a 16-page manuscript emerged in which the man explains the reason for his terrible act. The document had been delivered by the victim's family to the lawyer Elias Vacca, who has already arranged for it to be delivered to the deputy prosecutor Mario Leo.
