With the snow it's time for snowshoeing on Gennargentu: the tourist bet

While waiting for the Bruncu Spina ski lift to finally be tested, giving hundreds of enthusiasts the chance to ski again, tourist operators do not stop and focus on the snow-capped mountain.

And for Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th (if the weather conditions are favourable) several snowshoe hikes on Gennargentu are planned.

«We are receiving several phone calls», explains the tour guide Paolo Mulas, «if the climate allows it we will be operational in the next few days. We have 40 professional pieces of equipment available. Together with my colleague Antonello Nonne and other professional guides we aim to offer a unique experience."

Mulas specifies: «We are all registered in the regional register and our collaborators are the same. The itinerary is diversified, usually in the morning from Tascusì we continue to Artilai, while in the afternoon Bruncu Spina and Monte Spada. We reserve the stage at Punta La Marmora only for the most experienced and trained hikers: it requires a whole day of walking."

In the meantime, in Desulo we are preparing to restart the 'S'Arena' synthetic ski slope”. Mayor Gian Cristian Melis announced it on Radiolina. He reiterates: «We are speeding up the bureaucracy to purchase the slope's treadmill, stolen in 2020, by March. We aim to give children and adults an essential service again, benefiting from the teachings of the instructors of the Gennargentu ski club and the castanicola society. ».

There is also a greater ambition: «We are working», concludes Melis. «to find resources, thinking on a real, multi-season grass track . An ambitious challenge, but one that would further enhance our territory."
