For two evenings it will be like diving into the fabulous American fifties, with the groups ready to set the stage on fire with their music that never goes out of fashion : everything is ready for the "Boom-Chicka-Boom Weekender 2024", the first and only Rock 'n'Roll and Rockabilly 50s festival in Sardinia which will be held on Friday and Saturday at Corto Maltese, on Poetto beach .

Many artists will perform in the two dance-filled evenings, presented by Miss Dani Lou. We start on Friday, with Bop Meters, Rocca ande His Brothers, Dylan and The Lone Wanderers, Gigio The Cat, Tommy Mad & Rizzone, and Pino and Melania's dance lessons. On Saturday, space for Greg and The Three-Billies, Patrick & The Crazy Slivers, Sally Quiet and Rocking Vibe, Renny Round, and at the end Tommy Mad & Rizzone again, and the lessons of Pino and Melania.

Patrizio Atzori, front man of Patrick & The Crazy Slivers, among the organizers together with Maurizio Rocca of the Boom-Chicka-Boom Weekender 2024, explains how the two musical genres are actually a lifestyle: «It's not just the music that excites the ever-growing audience that appreciates Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly: the clothing, the haircut and beard, the general way of living life goes beyond the songs. It is no longer just a niche culture, the Rockabilly family is expanding: on the weekend there will be space for emerging and established groups, you can learn the dances of the 1950s linked to these two musical genres, and there will also be a barbershop."
