After the latest episode that occurred on the island of Spargi, in the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, with the attack, by a wild boar, of a child, and other episodes of presence of quadrupeds, on the beach, and after the technical tables convened by the mayor Fabio Lai in collaboration with the commissioner of the Park, Rosanna Giudice, here is now the first provision, of which the Port Authority of La Maddalena provides information.

Today (Ordinance no. 121/24) from 3pm to 10pm, a large area of the sea, on the island of Spargi, will be closed, as is known in this period highly frequented by tourists, in order to allow "the urgent and no longer deferrable operations of slaughtering wild boars".

In particular, the entire coastal strip, extending up to 500 metres from the coast, writes the Port Authority, in the stretch between Cala d'Alga, Cala Corsara, Cala Granara, Cala dell'Amore, Cala Connarsi, navigation, mooring, stopping, bathing, fishing, diving by any naval unit (pleasure craft, traffic boats, fishing) is prohibited.

Several naval units of the Coast Guard and other police forces will be present on site to monitor compliance with the ban.

The Port Authority asks for "everyone's collaboration and common sense".
