The serene (or almost) returns to Sardinia after 18 hours of bad weather that kept the inhabitants of the western areas of the island in suspense above all.

The Civil Protection has downgraded the alert, issued yesterday, which was valid until midnight today. Cyclone Denise, with its heavy rains and stormy winds, had colored the territory of Oristano red and Sassarese, Logudoro, Iglesiente and Sulcis orange.

The new notice provides for ordinary criticality (yellow) due to hydrogeological risk in the Iglesiente alert area. Same color, due to both hydraulic and hydrogeological risk, for Montevecchio Pischinappiu, Tirso and Logudoro.

All particularly affected areas in which the land is swollen with water: the residual perturbations, much less consistent than those of the last few hours, could therefore create some problems.

However, attention remains high for the wind and storm surges that are hitting the west coast.
