« No decision has yet been made on the postponement of the restrictions scheduled from January 27 in the 15 municipalities served by the Jann'e Ferru aqueduct : Nuoro, Bolotana, Fonni, Gavoi, Lei, Lodine, Mamoiada, Ollolai, Oniferi, Orgosolo, Orani, Orotelli, Ottana, Sarule and Silanus».
This was reiterated in an official note from Abbanoa which specifies: «Any variation will be the result of discussion in the coordination table involving the Region, Civil Protection, Province, Municipalities, Abbanoa and the Governing Body of the Area. A new meeting will be called in the next few days».
In the note, Abbanoa adds: «With regard to some news regarding the postponement of the date, Abbanoa specifies that the monitoring of the levels in the Olai and Govossai reservoirs is currently underway. This last lake, which is small in size, has already registered an increase, while checks are underway on the largest of the lakes, Olai, which represents the true “reservoir” for the water supply of the territory. If the forecasts were to confirm an increase in the levels in this reservoir as well, Abbanoa will propose to the coordination table the postponement of the date of the restrictions ».
The increase in levels is not in itself the way out of the emergency: it is essential that the fruitful work that all the institutions involved are carrying out continues, starting with the verification of the provision of accumulation reserves in public structures.
And in Govossai, as you can see in the video, despite the emergency, water is being thrown into the sea.
