Water bombs, roads that become dangerous streams, flooded houses, destroyed agricultural land, companies hit by lightning: these have become common scenarios in Carbonia too, like last week and a few days ago, and it is no coincidence then that the Municipality he was forced to organize a new training day with schools dedicated to issues of hydrogeological risk and civil protection .

The commander of the municipal police Andrea Usai , the councilor for public education Antonietta Melas and the coordinator of the TerraMare civil protection Andrea Leoni took the chair at the Emanuela Loi professional institute in via Dalmazia.

Carbonia may also be a new city, but for years it has been facing serious hydrogeological disasters that transform some sites into gigantic lakes as soon as the rains increase in intensity. Problem that the Municipality began to mitigate a few days ago with a capillary cleaning of all waterways and main canals that usually remain blocked by very thick vegetation.

"In this perspective - analyzes Usai - we believe that education in civil protection comes from schools : a change of mentality that cannot be ignored even in the light of climate change".
