A "unsafe and dilapidated" structure which "constituted a serious danger for those who accessed its interior through a large gap created by the collapse of a gate at the entrance". It is the one placed under seizure by the Forestry Corps in Brabau, near the first pier on the Torregrande seafront.

"Various kinds of waste were found inside the building, including fragments of cement roofing slabs, presumably given the time of construction, containing asbestos fibers ," the investigators explain.

«The Forestry Agents therefore proceeded immediately to subject the area in which the material was identified to penal seizure and to secure a well half-hidden among the brushwood present and devoid of any protective barrier».

The seizure carried out by the NIPAF men is part of the daily activities carried out for the control of the territory which are often carried out in concert with the staff of the various Forest Stations and Central Departments.

The abandonment or illegal disposal of asbestos, the Forestry recalls, are crimes that involve fines of up to 26 thousand euros and even imprisonment of up to two years.
