Before the opening of the summer season itself, both in the evening and early morning, they would have first terrorized some couples who had secluded themselves in their cars, then also stalked and harassed some young tourists who wanted to go trekking on the paths that lead to Cala Fighera. Between the end of May and the beginning of June, three "voyeurs" would have frightened the frequenters of Calamosca, fleeing and disappearing into the nothingness of the Mediterranean scrub that overlooks a deep ridge.

The complaints

There are three reports formalized in as many complaints filed shortly before the summer at the Police Headquarters and the Carabinieri, now arrived at the Prosecutor's Office in the "unknown" register. The first led to the opening of a file that hypothesizes the crime of "harassment or disturbance to people", but with no suspects yet, the other two are still in "Model 45", the so-called register of acts not constituting news of a crime. All - in some way - report the presence of unknown persons (in one case a middle-aged man is described) who are supposedly lurking near one of the parking lots in Calamosca, where couples usually retreat in the evening. Here they are said to have tried to film the encounters of some young people or, in one case, they are said to have suddenly approached the cars, trying to open a door. The reaction of the young people is said to have made them flee, but after calling the police, a complaint is said to have been filed against unknown persons.

The precedents

A similar precedent occurred in 2017, when a pensioner in his eighties was accused of having seriously harassed a 21-year-old woman who was jogging in broad daylight in Calamosca. Once identified, he was charged with sexual assault. That same year, a fifty-year-old man pleaded guilty to a one-year suspended sentence for trying to lay his hands on a 19-year-old who was training on the same promontory. A short distance away, on the beach of Cala Fighera, in 2022, some young tourists reported having been approached by a stranger who allegedly started masturbating in their presence. After starting to scream, the man was then pushed away by other visitors to the cove (which in the past was off-limits to swimmers due to the risk of landslides). Now there are new reports of voyeurs and molesters who, however, in recent weeks have disappeared due to the high number of young people who frequent the beach and the coves near Calamosca and the surveillance provided also by the clubs in the area.
