A 21-year-old from Sinnai - Samuel Olla, from Sinnai - was arrested yesterday in Cagliari by the Carabinieri del Norm for violence against a person in charge of a public service, resistance to a public official, and reported on the loose for personal injuries, illegal carrying of weapons or objects to offend and disruption of public service.

It all started around 21.40 when the driver of an Arst bus called 112 . The military intervened in viale Marconi where the young man had gone into a rage aboard public transport and had hit a supervisor in the face (for him 5 days of treatment for facial trauma) who had approached him to ask him to calm down.

The driver, in an attempt to support the vigilante, had in turn been shot in the face and the 21-year-old threatened them with a knife , before fleeing. The vigilante would also have pulled his gun from his holster in an attempt to stop the young man.

The latter, before attempting to escape, also allegedly threw bottles at the bus . As a carabiniere got out of the service car, the young man struck the door but was still reached and immobilized. He had the knife used for the threats found and the object was confiscated.

Placed under house arrest, the Cagliari court validated the arrest during the summary hearing.
