He had gone fishing in one of the tributaries of the Flumendosa but the joke ended in tragedy. Sebastiano Meloni, 79, from Fonni, died perhaps after hitting his head on a stone. He had also filled the basket with trout, confirming that the day was passing in the sign of serenity.

The accident occurred in the Su Calavrigu area, near Pira 'e Onni, in the Villagrande area. Meloni's body was recovered around 20 and, at the disposal of the magistrate on duty at the Court of Lanusei, Giovanna Morra, seized in the morgue of the Nostra Signora della Mercede hospital.

The carabinieri of the Lanusei company operated on the scene of the tragedy. The community expressed condolences and pain for the tragedy that occurred to Sebastiano Meloni, well known in his home country.
