Villacidro mourns two deaths on the streets in a few hours: tomorrow funeral and city mourning

Two deaths within hours, both on Christmas Day.

City mourning in Villacidro, who mourns two victims of road accidents that took place yesterday on the roads of the island.

The first is Amedeo Abramo Secchi , a 48-year-old hairdresser, who crashed into a wall and then into a ditch aboard his Peugeot 206 along provincial road 7, just outside Villasor.

Shortly after the same tragic fate befell Omar Carta , just 23 years old. The young man lost control of his car while traveling on provincial 60, about three kilometers from Villacidro, and ended up off the road. A crash that proved fatal, the rescuers who arrived on the spot could only ascertain his death.

“Dear fellow citizens, today is a particularly sad day for the Villacidrese community”, reads the press release with which the administration led by Federico Sollai announced city mourning for tomorrow, December 27th.

"Unfortunately, two young boys, Omar and Amedeo, tragically passed away on Christmas Day. The pain of all of us is profound and for this reason, tomorrow, on behalf of the entire city council and the council, as mayor I will proclaim city mourning to express the condolences of the entire community to family members "
