The trial against Gianluca Vacchi for alleged illegal construction discovered at his villa, under construction in Pantogia, Porto Cervo, will begin on March 13. This morning, Tempio Court Judge Federica Lunari, in a pre-trial hearing, ruled that there are grounds for a trial, as requested by Prosecutor Gregorio Capasso. Among the charges is the alleged violation of the hydrogeological constraint.

Vacchi, in compliance with an initial demolition order from the Municipality of Arzachena, has already reduced the excess volume by eliminating some rooms. Vacchi has also reportedly obtained hydrogeological clearance from the Forestry Corps. The case also involves the contractor Giovanni Maria Filigheddu, of Arzachena, and the designer Giovanni Faggioli (represented by lawyers Gian Comita Ragnedda, Giampaolo Murrighile, Fabio Varone, Giuseppe Angotta, and Cristina Mela).

The Tempio Pausania Court rejected the civil action brought by an environmentalist association.
