Hit by a cement mixer while crossing the road.

The accident happened this morning in the municipality of Viddalba , while a 74-year-old man was about to reach the opposite side of the road.

The vehicle, for reasons yet to be ascertained, hit him causing various traumas.

The elderly man, with severe disabilities , was rescued by the 118 ambulance and later transported by helicopter to the civil hospital of Santissima Annunziata in Sassari in code red .

The man is hospitalized in serious condition.

The police are also on site for legal findings.
