He returned to speak to his faithful, Don Francesco Martino Mocci, former priest of the church of Cristo Re in Valledoria, a parish that had suffered two arson attacks on Sunday 5 and Wednesday 8 January . Because of those episodes that hit the church and the rectory of the town, the bishop Monsignor Roberto Fornaciari , for security reasons and to protect Don Mocci, had ordered the cessation of the office of parish priest of the churches of Cristo Re and Nostra Signora di Fatima, near the Muddizzia, which in Valledoria had been entrusted to the priest, urgently removed from the diocese of Tempio-Ampurias.

Don Mocci appeared in these hours with a video on Youtube reciting some passages from the Gospel of Luke: «Let's talk about love towards enemies and for those who persecute us. Love for those we meet and pass through in our life».

Following the investigations launched by the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office and entrusted to Deputy Prosecutor Enrica Angioni, head of the investigation into the arson, the church was seized at the disposal of the Judicial Authority and will be reopened as soon as possible, after the sanitization of the liturgical hall.

"Love your enemies," says Don Mocci, "because in Jesus Christ a new truth can arise, shining with light and peace, and when man meets Jesus he cannot help but live love for those who hate us, condemn us and slander us, because that is the true poverty and condemnation of man."

In the last few hours, Bishop Fornaciari has arranged the new pastoral appointments, entrusting Don Francesco Cossu , parish priest emeritus of Arzachena, with the role of parish administrator of the parishes of Cristo Re in Valledoria and Nostra Signora di Fatima in La Muddizza, with decrees dated 12 January 2025.
