The carabinieri of Ozieri's company, under the command of Gabriele Tronca, reconstructed the dynamics of the accident which occurred in the afternoon in the Tula countryside, in the Su Monte area.

A tractor, after a wrong maneuver by the driver, ended up in a cliff. The driver was a 76-year-old local GM farmer who was carrying his 13 and 14-year-old granddaughters on a rear loader of the vehicle.

All it took was one wrong maneuver and the tractor lost grip, slipped down the cliff and hit a rock. As a result of the violent impact, the agricultural vehicle overturned and the two girls were thrown to the ground.

The particularly difficult area made rescue operations difficult.

On site the firefighters supported the 118 operators in the rescue operation.

The girls were transferred to the civil hospital in Olbia, while their uncle, due to the trauma he suffered, was transported by air ambulance in code red to the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari.

Their conditions are not serious.
