Tragedy on the 128: a car driven by a 90-year-old man hits and kills a cyclist.

This afternoon, around 2:00 PM, a serious road accident occurred along state road 128, the arterial road connecting Sorgono to Tonara.

An 80-year-old cyclist from the province of Vicenza was struck by a Fiat Panda driven by a 90-year-old local man. According to initial reports, still being investigated by law enforcement, the collision occurred on a stretch of rural road. The precise cause of the accident has not yet been determined and will be investigated by the Carabinieri of the Tonara branch, who responded to the scene. Emergency medical services responded immediately, but despite attempts to resuscitate the cyclist, nothing could be done. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
