The Cagliari Prosecutor's Office has opened a file on the accident which occurred at dawn in Viale Marconi, in which four young people died and two others were injured.

Multiple road homicide is the crime hypothesized by prosecutor Rossana Allieri, who decided to open an investigation because high speed was most likely the cause of the crash . A formal act to ascertain what happened this morning, given that the driver of the car also lost his life.

According to the findings carried out by the local police, 19-year-old Alessandro Sanna was driving the Ford Fiesta and his peer Najibe Lavinia Zaher was sitting next to him: both died instantly and found inside the passenger compartment. In the back seat the other four boys.

They were returning from an evening in a club and had to take the junction for the Median Axis, but they continued straight on for a few metres, perhaps due to the high speed. The driver of the vehicle lost control, ending up first on a pavement, then on a low wall that delimits the entrance to a garden, then the car overturned after a series of cartwheels.

The four boys in the back seat were thrown out of the passenger compartment: Simone Picci and Giorgia Banchero, aged 20 and 24, died instantly , while Alessandro Sainas and Manuel Incostante, both 19, ended up in hospital , the first at Brotzu and the second at the Polyclinic.
