Tragedy struck last night in Santa Teresa Gallura, where a young man died after falling from a height of about 15 meters.
The victim, a 27-year-old Romanian man, according to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri who responded to the scene along with the firefighters, was attempting to climb a pylon to remove some materials, including copper . The pylon, damaged at the base, gave way under the weight, collapsing and crushing the young man, who died from crushing .
The 27-year-old, however, wasn't alone: he was accompanied by a man his age, now under investigation for attempted copper theft. It was the man himself, assisted by lawyers Abele and Cristina Cherchi, who raised the alarm and called for help. The body has been returned to the family, and the investigation is underway by the Carabinieri of the Santa Teresa station.
