Tortolì, attack on the former traffic policeman: progress in the investigation

Breakthrough in the investigation into the attack suffered by Renato Corò, a 71-year-old former traffic policeman from Tortolì. The Carabinieri of the Lanusei company reported a 37-year-old man resident in Orosei but of Brazilian origins.

Viewing the videos, recorded by the municipal video surveillance system, corroborated the exact reconstruction of the dynamics of the attack. The military is carrying out further investigations to clarify the aspects related to the motive.

The episode dates back to the night of May 2nd in Corso Umberto, when Corò was hit by a punch in the face which caused injuries to one of his eyes. There was unanimous condemnation of the gesture against Corò, an esteemed person in the community.
