Thick fog on the runway turned a simple flight into an odyssey. This is what happened this morning to the passengers of Ryanair flight FR 01511, departing from Cagliari and bound for Perugia .

Having taken off regularly at 9:55 a.m. , the plane attempted to land several times at the Umbrian airport, but due to thick fog, it was diverted to Ancona, where it arrived at 11:40 a.m. According to one of the Sardinian passengers, after flying "for about half an hour over Perugia, they told us that, due to the fog, we would be landing in Ancona."

But the ordeal didn't end with the arrival at the airport. "Once we got there," the passenger explained, "the buses that were supposed to take us to Ancona weren't available yet, and only several hours later, shortly after 2:00 PM, did they let us board three buses: an organization that needed reassessing. We'll arrive at our destination after a total of five hours of travel between plane and bus."
