The strike was called over a month ago, but no positive signals have come from Teknoservice . That's why tomorrow, September 2, the workers of the company that collects and manages waste in various municipalities in Sardinia will cross arms .

«Both the company and the municipalities for which it manages the service», explains the regional secretary of Fit Cisl Ignazio Lai, « had plenty of time to find a solution . Instead, we register an incomprehensible immobilism, which will bring inconvenience to the workers, but above all to the users, to the citizens ». Translated, waste collection will be suspended .

A decision which, on the island, concerns six centres: Capoterra, Guspini, Arbus, Gonnosfanadiga, Domusnovas and Carloforte : «There was no other way left to go», says the secretary. «The long confrontation with the company has not brought solutions to the many problems we have raised, in particular related to health and environmental safety in the workplace. Furthermore, the company circumvents the parameters on work units and the number of vehicles, ignoring normal trade union relations. We have sought a constructive dialogue», concludes Lai, «but, faced with the wall raised by the Teknoservice top management, all we have to do is abstain from work».
