Todde and speculation on renewable energy: «I can't sleep at night»
The governor: "The idea of seeing expanses of agrivoltaic and wind power scares me." And on the Draghi decree: «The competences belonged to the Ministry of the Environment»«We need to take back control of the energy plan which has been at a standstill since 2016. I can't sleep at night at the idea of seeing expanses of agrivoltaics, panels where they shouldn't be or wind power . It scares me, I don't want it and I don't think any of us want it."
Thus the governor of Sardinia Alessandra Todde during a meeting in Desulo regarding renewables projects on the island.
Todde also spoke about the decree adopted when he was deputy minister of Economic Development: «I was deputy minister of the Draghi government, which however had passed energy responsibilities to the Ministry of the Environment. Yes, it's true, I was part of a committee called "Ecological Transition", but I represented the industries . Certainly - added Todde - I could not see that decree, even guiltily , I say, because it passed to me and at that moment, given that it was the implementation of a European directive, I probably did not realize how complicated it was subsequently to manage ".
The same decree, Todde then underlined, provided that the suitable areas "were made in 180 days, instead we waited for them for 2 and a half years ".
