Three new pharmacists have joined the Ogliastra Local Health Authority. The professionals began work in the Community Pharmacy complex in recent weeks and were introduced to the organization during a meeting titled "New Professionals, New Perspectives: Professions, Experiences, and Visions for Community Healthcare." The event also provided an opportunity for scientific discussion: the newly hired pharmacists presented their specialist theses, which they defended in March at the University of Cagliari. The new team is composed of doctors Martina Crobeddu (born 1996, from Arzana), Sara Piras (born 1995, from Baunei), and Luca Pirroni (born 1996, from Tortolì). Completing the team is Aurora Patteri (born 1995, from Baunei), a specialist currently completing an internship.
"Thanks to the arrival of these three young professionals, we will be able to improve and strengthen the service," explains Sara Sanna, director of the local pharmacy. "The new resources will allow us to open drug distribution points in Jerzu and Tortolì as well."
"Investing in young people from Ogliastra—specialists who return to share their expertise with their homeland—is a victory for the entire region," emphasizes Andrea Fabbo, general director of the Ogliastra Local Health Authority. "This demonstrates that our company can also be attractive to young people who want to get involved." The pharmacy is evolving, developing an advanced system for managing therapies for chronic patients, based on an integrated digital platform. Telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and smart technologies. The future is now.
