There were more than three thousand visitors to the Decimomannu military airport which opened its doors to civilians on the occasion of the anniversary celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Air Force.

Many people queued in front of the gates of the "Giovanni Farina" who were able to visit the exhibition room which preserves the historical memory of the Air Force in Sardinia, through memorabilia and photographic documentation.

The guests followed a journey through static exhibitions of military aircraft and vehicles relating to the multiple specificities of the Department. Pilots, technicians and specialists of the Armed Forces welcomed many enthusiasts and curious people and were able to talk about their daily work and the values that guide them in carrying out important services for the defense of the country and for the citizens.

Adults and children also lined up to be able to see the M346 and Eurofighter aircraft up close and experience for a moment the thrill of being at the controls of a jet, discover the secrets of meteorology and get to know the on-board search and rescue technicians up close.
