The Carabinieri of the Sanluri Operational and Radiomobile Unit, in collaboration with the Barumini and Villanovafranca Stations, executed a European arrest warrant issued by the French authorities.

The warrant was issued by the Amiens Judicial Court for the crimes of aggravated threat and bodily harm, committed in June 2016 in Dury, France.

A 64-year-old pensioner living in Villanovafranca ended up in handcuffs. He was tracked down at his home and, after the notification of the warrant, was transferred to the prison of Uta, awaiting further decisions by the Italian and French authorities.
