Twenty families from Sassari had their citizenship income suspended after refusing to participate in the PUC, or the Useful Projects for the Community organized by the Municipality of Sassari, a mandatory activity for the beneficiaries of the support. For all of them the report to INPS was also triggered.

In Sassari, the PUC were activated in collaboration with nine third sector associations, and these days the Social Services are proceeding with the insertion of the first group of 45 people out of 224 candidates.

The proposed activities range from the accompaniment, transport and support of people with various needs for visits, the purchase of drugs and basic necessities, various payments, to the inclusion in contexts frequented by children that provide support for study and play activities. Others concern ambulance transport, interventions managed on site as well as civil protection activities in the event of emergency situations such as natural disasters. The number of hours per week ranges from 8 to 16 hours for 4 months.

The operators of the policies, services and social cohesion sector, who are in charge of the beneficiaries of the citizenship income, have scrolled through the ranking drawn up with the adhesions to the PUC and, through targeted interviews, have carried out the combinations of the same to the various projects according to the aptitudes , predisposition and previous experiences, but also on the basis of professional knowledge.
