Sardinians increasingly concerned about the fear of theft. More than one in three (39%) does not feel safe at home and claims to be more anxious today than in the last two/three years.

This was revealed by the latest research by the Sara Assicurazioni Observatory: «The greatest concern is that for the economic damages linked to damage to the house (41%). Then there is the fear of attacks aimed at oneself or one's family members (37%) and that of the theft of money and precious objects (16%). But the emotional damage caused by the loss of emotional goods is also worrying (33%)».

It is particularly frightening when «I am away from home (56%), for work or on vacation. 30% fear instead of suffering a theft at night, while sleeping".

To avoid unpleasant surprises « the first solution they look for is the technological one, through the installation of an alarm or surveillance system (62%). This is followed by 50% of the improvement in the safety of doors and windows. About to leave for the holidays, over two out of three (73%) think of asking family members to take a look at the house during their absence and 56% consider neighborhood groups useful as a deterrent to thieves and a security element ».

Finally, to protect oneself, «many underline the usefulness of an insurance policy, considered important above all to cover economic damages (50%), but also to deal with any repairs by professionals (26%). Another 27% underline the general sense of security they would receive from knowing they are protected by an insurance form».

«The data from our Observatory show a growing concern about thefts and robberies in the house and for this very reason many interviewees are inclined to make investments to make their homes safer – declares Marco Brachini, Marketing, Brand and Customer Relationship Director of Sara Assicurazioni – An insurance policy can represent a very effective solution, covering financial damages in the event of intrusion and theft, so as to have greater security for those who live in the house».
