The territorial nursing clinic opens in Burcei: what about the doctor?

Just today a delegation of the municipal administration of Burcei, led by the mayor Simone Monni, met the regional councilor for health Nieddu to whom the requests regarding health were presented in the town that has 3 thousand inhabitants and has only one family doctor after the second retired.
The one entrusted to Ansa by the ASL of Cagliari seems almost an answer, which has some fundamental interventions, albeit partial with respect to the needs:
1. From Monday 23 May, the nursing clinic will open in the Burcei Clinic, a new service dedicated to the local population that will offer health advice especially for fragile and / or chronic patients and will provide interventions such as small medications, intramuscular and intravenous therapeutic treatments, detection of vital parameters, glycemic controls, removal of sutures, administration of drugs.
2. Highly qualified staff will be present in the clinic to provide practical and useful advice on therapeutic adherence, the correct use of drugs and the management of medical devices and aids. The team consists of two nurses .
3. The project was born thanks to the collaboration of the Health Professions Service of the ASL of Cagliari and the District of Quartu-Parteolla.
TIMETABLE - The clinic will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 to 13 and on Fridays from 11 to 13.
On Friday morning , blood sampling will also be guaranteed from 8 to 11 . In the afternoon , the service will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm - 8pm.
THE ASL DIRECTOR - "We are very happy to offer a service of this kind to Burcei to meet the health needs of citizens - says the director general of the ASL of Cagliari Marcello Tidore -. It is not easy to find professionals and health professionals willing to work in small municipalities and suburbs. With the District Director of Quartu Ugo Storelli we are studying organizational formulas to make the activity more attractive even in small municipalities. This step represents a first goal, for which we thank the Mayor of Burcei and all the population for understanding ".
Understanding has been and will be; it is hoped that this is a first step and the next will not be long in coming and the inconveniences may remain just a memory for the population.
