Still prestigious results for the students of Itis Othoca of Oristano, who are also participating in the Computer Science Olympics this year, achieving great performances. In the team competition last March they placed first among the regions in Bologna, while they will participate in the individual championships scheduled for 12 to 14 October in Bergamo.

At the recent Italian Cyber Security Olympics, in which the Oristano school participates every year with its talents, nine Othoca students passed the school selection and subsequently participated in the territorial selections .

In particular , Diego Oliva and Davide Sechi, accompanied by Professor Massimiliano Pia, represented Sardinia, managing to get on the podium in the national final in Turin which saw the participation of the best 100 "brains" from all over the peninsula. Davide Sechi won the silver medal, finishing in eighth place and Diego Oliva the bronze medal with twenty-first position. Great satisfaction for Othoca was also achieved with the team made up of Davide Sechi and Nicholas Meli and with the students of the University of Cagliari Emanuele Massidda, Lorenzo Corrias, Christian Scano and Massimo Sanna, coached by Professor Davide Maiorca and his deputy , Sofia Tocco, student of the Computer Science degree course and former student of Itis Othoca, took 5th place out of 43 participating teams.

«Our Institute - highlights the head teacher Franco Frongia - has participated in the programs organized at the "CyberSecurity National Labs" since the 2019-20 school year with the first edition of CyberChallenge, in collaboration with the University of Cagliari.
