There is a Fiat Balilla that crosses the villages of Sarrabus and Gerrei. There are soldiers, miners, life in Sardinia in the fascist era. All this in recent days (and will continue until May, especially on Saturdays) thanks to the filming of "Solo Pietre", a film set in 1940 with the aim of promoting the immense archaeological heritage of the area.

Yesterday the set in Villasalto: the town has gone back in time, the citizens (as extras) took part in the filming and, above all, the camera of the skilled Muraverese director Gabriele Carrus arrived right inside the mines of Su Suergiu. The story is in fact that of a mining engineer of Sardinian origin, Luigi, sent to Sardinia to increase the production of antimony in view of the outbreak of war. Luigi in his journey will rediscover the wonders of the ancient Nuragic civilization and will become a staunch defender.

Five Municipalities involved: Muravera, San Vito, Ballao, Villasalto, Armungia and Escalaplano (with some small scenes also shot in other Municipalities). The production manager is Martino Zedda, also from Muravera and founder of the Archeo Sarrabus project. Co-producer is the Limen association chaired by the young municipal councilor of San Vito Danilo Melis.

In the cast, in addition to the actors, many local extras as is happening in Villasalto these days. The screenplay is by Massimo Mazzoni, the director of photography is Luca Valdes, the composer Gabriele di Girolamo. The film, lasting between 40 and 60 minutes, should be presented to the public in June.
