The one to greet the relics of Saint John Paul II upon their departure from Calangianus was the parish priest Don Andrea Domanski, Polish like Pope Wojtyla, and the one to welcome them in Luras, at the parish church of Our Lady of the Rosary, was always Don Andrea Domanski, where he is the parish administrator.

And another Polish priest, Don Jacek Meczel, celebrated the solemn Mass in both the first and second Gallura towns.

In reality, the relics arrived in Luras on the afternoon of Thursday, March 27, and today is the penultimate day of their stay; here too, as in Calangianus (from March 18 to 27), there was a great welcome, with masses, rosaries, catechesis, moments of veneration and meetings, for a Pope who, during his long pontificate, was able to be Head of the Church and Saint at the same time, and for whom popular devotion is ever-increasing.

Don Andrea Domanski has always had a deep devotion to Karol Wojtyla, under whose pontificate his vocation was born and grew, until he was ordained a priest, both when he was alive and now when he is dead and a Saint. Tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, is the last day of his stay in Luras, which lasted 4 days.
