With a budget change of 8 and a half million, the Regional Council has planned new actions for professional training and to create job opportunities. In the last session, the executive approved a resolution for the implementation of the first "Training Academy", relating to a specific production chain, in this case the Agri-food sector, in collaboration with the training agencies . It is aimed at both internal staff and unemployed people and local workers who intend to train or update themselves in the agri-food field.

«We are implementing a real revolution in the professional training system through the establishment of the Academies», highlights the president of the Region, Christian Solinas . «Professional training is a tool aimed at developing dedicated professional skills, which in this way will be increasingly applied to the territories in which the trained personnel will be inserted, better responding to the needs of the communities. The first sector involved will be that of the agri-food supply chain, an area with a strong identity connotation and the basis of our economy."

«The “Academies” of specific training», explains the Labor councilor, Ada Lai, «are aimed at the supply chains of productive activities, and are implemented in companies: this constitutes a true cultural revolution in training, because by responding to the economic needs of territories and communities, provide support to businesses in enhancing their production and quality levels, and create safe job opportunities . A virtuous circuit, a harbinger of well-being and which will therefore constitute a fundamental tool to avoid the depopulation of territories". Notices for the implementation of the Training Academies will be published in early 2024.

In the same resolution it is envisaged to allocate the still available portion of the resources relating to the LavorRAS integrated multi-fund program for work, for the year 2023, equal to 307,482.06 euros (integrating the reward fund of 450,000.00 euros, as well as established with Resolution 41/24 of 1.12.2023). The fund, as explained in a note from the department, «is intended to allow the provision of rewards in the event of 'placement' within the professional training notices to be published soon, for the benefit of the training agencies that have proposed courses in Company at the end of which the attending subjects find employment with subordinate employment contracts (permanent, or fixed term of at least 6 months) or apprenticeship, within 120 days of the conclusion of the course". «With this measure», says councilor Ada Lai, «training is increasingly linked to the concrete obtaining of work in companies, enhancing the professionalism and specific training efforts in the company for the creation of “safe” work».
