The "generAzioni" series, organized by the Meridiano Zero company , continues, showcasing young Italian authors and performers. Giovanni Onorato , a thirty-one-year-old Roman author and performer, arrives in Sassari. He's an eclectic and versatile artist, alternating his theater career—including encounters with artists of the caliber of Antonio Rezza and Filippo Timi—with original dance, music, and poetry projects. He says of himself, he's also been a "waiter, baker, detective, and chauffeur."
Onorato brings two shows to Sassari that have made him known to the public and earned him critical acclaim. The first is "Suck my Iperuranio" on Thursday, April 16, at 8:30 PM, at Spazio Bunker (via Porcellana 17/A). The show was a finalist in the Direction Under 30 competition and the winner of the #pillole competition at Teatro Studio Uno. Also at the Bunker, the Roman actor will lead a theater workshop open to all on April 17 and 18.
The second show, entitled “ALDE I never wanted to be here” , is scheduled Sunday at 6 pm, at the Teatro Civico. Onorato shares the stage with Mario Russo , who also composes the music together with Lorenzo Minozzi. A finalist in the Biennale College 2022 competition and winner of the special mention at the Tuttoteatro.com Award, the show uses the language and expressive spontaneity of poetry slam, within a narrative framework, to investigate the relationship between reality and autobiography.
