Three events pay tribute to Dmitri Shostakovich, one of the most intense and significant composers of the twentieth century, on the fiftieth anniversary of his death. The "Agorà Dinamiche" concert season kicks off on Saturday at 8:30 pm at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari. This year, it dedicates a heartfelt tribute to Francesco Abis, a founding member and extraordinary cellist, whose artistic and human legacy continues to be a guiding light for the association.

The triptych opens with the Indaco Quartet, the string quartet that won first prize at the 2023 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, performing an intense tribute to Shostakovich.

On January 29th, at the Sala Sassu of the "L. Canepa" Conservatory, starting at 7:00 PM, the Corallo Duo, consisting of Daniele Fiori on cello and Juliette Aridon-Kociołek on piano, will pay tribute to Francesco Abis. On January 30th, again at 7:00 PM, the closing concert of the "Francesco Abis" Cello Competition, founded to support young talents and professionals under 35, will take place at the Sala Sassu.

The season is organized in collaboration with the Cooperativa Teatro e/o Musica di Sassari.
