The truth of Igor Sollai is all (for now) condensed in the long interrogation that ended yesterday evening in prison in Uta in front of the prosecutor Marco Cocco who accused him of having premeditated the murder of his wife Francesca Deidda : «It's not true. I had not organized the murder of my wife. We were calmly discussing the end of our relationship. I killed her in a moment of madness. And I didn't do it to collect the insurance policy, nor to continue living in the house in San Sperate with a new partner: it was a sudden fit of rage ».
This, in extreme synthesis, is the thesis of the truck driver accused of aggravated voluntary homicide, assisted by the lawyers Carlo Demurtas and Laura Pirarba. Sollai also reiterated that he acted alone . He would not speak of a motive, therefore, but he revealed that his wife would have accused him of not being a good husband.
Would this sentence have been enough to unleash his murderous fury? The next interrogations, not yet scheduled, will have to clarify this aspect better.
