After a 22-day journey and over 8,000 nautical miles covered, the new Moby ship "Fantasy" has arrived in the port of Livorno, ready to enter service in the maritime connection between the Tuscan city and Olbia.

The new flagship of the shipping company, launched at the Chinese Guangzhou Shipyard, has crossed two oceans and the Suez Canal. Then the entry, the day before yesterday, into the Mediterranean.

"With its 237 meters long by 32 wide and a gross tonnage of 69,500 tons, Moby Fantasy is the largest passenger ferry ever built in the world, with a capacity of 3,000 passengers and 3,850 linear meters of rolling cargo ", explains Moby . Adding: «The high standards of sustainability adopted also make it the most advanced and technologically sophisticated ferry with respect to environmental protection and the reduction of emissions».
«After a long wait we have finally arrived in our sea», said the commander Massimo Pinsolo . «The Tyrrhenian Sea and the port of Livorno, as well as that of Olbia, will be our home throughout the summer season and beyond. We have come a long way to get here and the emotion of seeing the Italian coast after leaving Suez moved the whole crew».
