There are two thousand people - including teachers, students, parents and ATA staff - ready to mobilize for the future of the Alberti scientific high school in Cagliari and to request a definitive and adequate location. A demonstration has thus been scheduled for Thursday 9 March at 10.30 am , on the Su Siccu seafront, and a letter has also been sent to the Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara , in response to his recent statements on comfortable, welcoming, sustainable schools.

The spontaneous committee of the high school speaks of structural problems of the building in Viale Colombo and of distribution over several locations assigned temporarily and with an uncertain future , however insufficient for the many enrollment requests. "To this - the Committee let us know - a much more urgent problem must be added: the headquarters in Viale Colombo is in fact leased by the Port Authority with a contract that will expire in September 2023 and for now it does not appear to be part of the recovery plans of the area, leaving teachers, students and families in total uncertainty for the future . The building is in fact a state property which today is partially unusable but has enormous tourist potential, managed by the Port Authority. In summary, Liceo Alberti, the third scientific high school in Sardinia in terms of quality in the rankings of the Agnelli Foundation, is in danger of no longer existing from September".

And we are talking about a school that welcomes 60% of commuter students. The SOS was also launched in Valditara. «Today there seems to be no concrete project for the Liceo Alberti in Cagliari: if our "office" is destined for something else, we will be relocated in extremis where perhaps our students, commuters in particular, will not be able to arrive except at great expense fuel, time, money,” reads the letter.
