It is an idea of the Eurinsula association which organized the second edition of the “Islands of Europe” forum in Cagliari.
«Before promoting the territory - claims the creator of the initiative Isabel Vera - it is necessary to know it, respect it, love it: in other words, enhance it. Only then can tourism, a key factor, create truly intercultural exchanges ." Scholars and experts representing the Mediterranean islands exchanged views.
«The main objective of the event – adds Isabel Vera , born in Tenerife, an entrepreneur who has long been involved in enhancing the relationships between different realities of the Mare Nostrum – is to create a network and promote the cultural values of the islands of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean , the islands of Europe ." A document is being defined "to assert the rights of the islands before the European Union".
